Konjunktiv II - German lesson
The Konjunktiv II is used, among other things, to express an unreal or hypothetical situation.
In an unreal conditional sentence, we generally use:
wenn + Konjunktiv II, ... Konjunktiv II
Example:
Wenn ich reich wäre, würde ich viel reisen.
If I were rich, I would travel a lot.
For many verbs, the Konjunktiv II has its own specific form:
sein → wäre
haben → hätte
müssen → müsste
geben → gäbe
brauchen → bräuchte
For many other verbs, we use "würde" + infinitive:
tanzen → würde tanzen
spenden → würde spenden
waschen → würde waschen
Complete each sentence with the correct Konjunktiv II form of the verb indicated in brackets.
Good luck!
